　　摘  要：In this talk, we establish morphisms between the set of second maximal subgroups and the set of formations. Some characterizations of p-groups and solvable groups are given by second maximal subgroups with specific index properties. Inspired by Guralnick’s work, we further obtain new sufficient conditions for a group to belong to the formation F, whose every non-abelian chief factor is isomorphic to direct products of PSL(2,7). Moreover, we extend the formation Jp and, by utilizing the variation of the p-part of subgroup orders, obtain a series of results.

　　报告人简介： 缪龙，河海大学数学学院三级教授、博士生导师，中共党员。2003年毕业于中国科学技术大学，获理学博士学位，2011年破格晋升为教授。曾获霍英东教育基金会青年教师奖、江苏省数学成就奖，入选江苏省“333工程”培养对象，并被评为江苏省“青蓝工程”中青年学术带头人，曾赴德国Duisburg-Essen大学IEM研究所和西班牙University of Valencia进行学术访问。担任科技部重大专项、国家自然科学基金委员会、国家博士后基金及陕西省自然科学基金评审专家。主要研究方向为有限群的结构理论和群类群系理论。主持6项国家自然科学基金项目，包括面上项目3项、中俄国际合作项目1项、青年基金项目1项及数学天元基金项目1项。在《J. Algebra》《J. Pure and Applied Algebra》等国内外重要学术期刊发表论文70余篇，其中50余篇被SCI收录。
